Doug in print!!

Doug Chumley's book, Fence Posts, has been published and is currently in pre-order at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Here is the introduction from Amazon:

In Deuteronomy 19:14 God commanded "You shall not move your neighbor's boundary mark, which the ancestors have set, in your inheritance which you shall inherit in the land that the Lord your God gives you to possess it." Very similar commands concerning landmarks are found in five other places in the Bible. Figuratively the landmark is God's Word. In a culture dominated by deconstructionist philosophy, we are being taught that right and wrong are nothing more than archaic superstitions that a dwindling few cling to and seek to impose upon a society that has outgrown them. From that chaos and moral void, Fence Posts shouts out the commission that God has given to men to be that boundary between right and wrong.

Throughout the book you will learn: - That scripture defines how God establishes his boundaries - How God uses His men as the fence posts of those boundaries- About the importance of the family to the prosperity of a culture

So, come and learn to be the landmark that God has called you to be as a man in your family, job, and community.

Online Giving is Here!!

Forget your checkbook on Sunday? Out of town and forgot to send in your Tithe check? No problem... You can now give to PIBC via our website or mobile device!!

A note about giving... Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love for God. The Bible states that the starting point of generosity is the tithe, meaning 10% of what God has blessed us with. When we step out in faith and give Him our first, not last, the Bible teaches us that God will meet our needs more than we could ever imagine.

In 30 seconds or less you can give to PIBC directly from your bank (eCheck/ACH) or Credit Card. You can setup recurring donations and select the fund to which you wish to give. See more at the PIBC website; click below to go directly to the giving page or use the "GIVING" link on the home page.

Notes for Wednesday Night Bible Study

Just as a reminder, as Doug mentioned, all of the notes to the bible studies provided by him and Robert are on his blog, "Fence Posts".

From the "About"...

Fence Posts will be a good read for anyone, but is a call especially directed to men to be the heroes of the faith. We must be the fence posts or landmarks that are not to be moved and, by the strength of the Lord, will not be moved. In a culture that constantly seeks to undermine the roles of fathers, husbands, working men and boys who do what is right, God’s call remains for us to stand, to hold and even push back the forces of deceit and lawlessness that destroy so many families and lives.
